Intro to InDesign: Article Proof Final

  1. Really like your use of the transparent image in your background... it ties your whole article together! And what a meaningful quote! The only thing I would change is the placement of your sub head, I think it would fit better if it was centered horizontally on the page. A grand job, Roberto

  2. Robbie,
Nice article proof! Interesting topic but you make it work on paper! The background gradient is really nice. I love that it takes up most of the background. It adds color and ties the text together with the other pictures and the Headline. The only thing I suggest to make this article work a little better would be to maybe get rid of some text. It seems a little text heavy. You could add another picture rather than having all that text on the right hand side. For some reason, it just looks a little unbalanced having both pictures on one side and a lot of text on the other. Great job, though!

  3. Robbie, I think overall excellent presentation! The non-arbitrary margins and so forth are well planned and your use of subtle tone/color for images and background is very appealing as well. The only thing that maybe would be constructive criticism would be that the bottom right image seems to line up with the "...patrol.." emblem? What I mean is the angle of the top of suitcase for that image is I think maybe too lined-up with background emblem so it is kind of ambiguous to my eye. Just a possible idea to consider- otherwise super excellent!

  4. Overall, I think this article looks very nice! I like the fonts and pictures you chose, as well as the background picture. I think the article would look a bit more balanced though if you put one of the pictures in the other column. Also, I would center the subhead, but other than that, great job!

  5. I like the overall design of your article, I do think that the picture in the bottom left corner of the document should be stretched to match the margins of the text above it.
Also, perhaps with your subhead, the way that it is set up, you could have tried to match the width with the text below, and then raised the text box on the right.
